I think there will be more songs. I do not think Barry is done creating new songs, and I think there are other artists he would like to work with. If Barry is breathing, he will want to create new music. It would be great if he wrote with other songwritin

As for Barry wanting to work with others, it almost seems like this album
with its variety is an audition of sorts for a future project with one or
more artists.... perhaps a Duets album or if any one important artist comes
forward. I hear Barry reaching out to Paul with 'Amy in Colours' and 'The
Long Goodbye'. I hear him reaching out to the likes of Neil Young on
'Diamonds'. I hear some Neil Diamond in 'Cross to Bear'. I also hear Jeff
Lynne, The Kinks and Simply Red, and of course Barry himself has mentioned
Carole King and Bruce Springsteen. I'm not saying he's copying these
folks, but perhaps he's sending the message that, "Hey, let's get together
- I can legitimately play on your turf - don't pin any one label on me -
forget those preconceived notions about me.
Unlike some people on this list I prefer tracks 6 thru 15. I can listen
to 'Diamonds' all day every day. And even though he dabbles with clichÃ=A9
ideas like the Spanish horns on 'Shadows', I prefer that to the even more
"hooky" and cliché pop structures in the first 5 songs. It may be
unpopular to say so on this list but I have never cared for the
Springsteen-like tune and it gets skipped with every listen of the CD.
I think his voice is in fine form, especially for these songs which I'm
sure were tailored to his current vocal limitations.
I really like the album and I hope he continues. I did my part to try to
help chart position in the US by buying six copies, one for me and five
others as gifts.
