Date: Mon, 24 Dec 2012 14:01:02 -0500 From: Anne Simpson <bgfan@bell.net> Subject: RE: Message from Spencer Thanks for posting this, Robin S. There's clearly some tension still ("up until very recently"?), but equally clearly, this is a family whose extended members care very much about each other. I commend Spencer for speaking out, empathizing with Barry while acknowledging that their losses were different. I agree that a proper response is to let that relationship remain private, as Spencer asks. My thoughts remain with Barry and all of Robin's family - in particular, with Dwina on her birthday and what would have been Robin's 63d two days ago. That can't have been much fun for any of the family. :( Meanwhile, this being Christmas Eve, I send my best wishes for a Merry Christmas to all of you who celebrate the holiday. --== Anne . -----Original Message----- From: words@brothersgibb.com [mailto:words@brothersgibb.com] On Behalf Of Robin Setty Sent: December 24, 2012 7:28 AM To: words List Member Subject: [words] Message from Spencer I've been very quiet, while reading with sadness some of the discussion about Barry's relationship with Robin. Spencer has just published the below on his facebook page. I'm forwarding it here because, as he says, he "needs to set the record straight". Hopefully it will put people's minds at ease. My point is: having a rift with someone doesn't mean you don't love them. These times are very complex, the Gibb family is very complex. Let's not have all this tittle-tattle... (Barry kept turning away from the camera, shaking with laughter as Robin went on a hilarious rant.) If so, would you kindly share it - either on list or privately? I can't seem to find it. It would be nice to view and hear as much as us ordinary folks can but out of respect we need to let the rest of the Gibb fami I was in Nashville a couple weeks ago trying to sell my songs/music to some country singer. Not trying to sell the person singing just the songs. The Bee Gees inspired many people including me and most recently. I've never been able to see them in concert I have one on YouTube since my son is in the 101st Airborne Screaming Eagles and he wanted his hero song so he would know what it sounds like just in case we would need it. It was a tough job to write a song for your son who already thinks he may not make Go to YouTube type in the song name and put airborne after it and look for Josh Taylor name and that's our song. If we can get enough likes and a country singer we want to donate the earnings to Wounded Warriors Project. It's a worthy cause. I would be gr I wish the Gibb family my condolenceces and pray they find strength to help them through their loses. Family helps but there is always a hole in your heart for lost loved ones and will never be the same but their music and love stays with us all.
