Apart from that post, I can't think of anyone else on this list who could be accurately said to "hate" Barry. Do you still=20 have it? Would you be willing to post it again or rewrite it if you=20 don't have it saved? As for the topic at hand, I am sorry that you feel=20 that way and I can understand your frustration. I, for one, would love=20 for as many different views as possible to be expressed, as long as the=20 posts are respectful and thoughtful. Luckily, for the most part, in this=20 list there has been a respectful atmosphere. Anyway, for anyone who is=20 lurking but wants to say something, please go ahead. I think, Yakima,=20 that you are not alone in your sentiments and it would be nice for you=20 and the list, if more opinions were heard. Please try to post that=20 original post you talked about! And yes, Cindy's comments were, in my=20 opinion, not expressed well. I would love for her to revise her=20 language and post again (if she wishes). Now, if he did and Robin did not reply, that is one thing but not having his direct number seems a bit odd to me (not knowing how these high flying celebrities organize their lives, lol!). Again, if Barry could not get through Robin's advisers, that is ultimately Robin's fault for not giving him what he should have had in the beginning, which is a direct way to reach him. And yes, there were various points, including when Robin's diagnosis was first officially confirmed, when Barry flew over, if only for a little while (not sure why he never stayed more than a couple of days, it seems, but anyway...) from what I remember. So it is not as if he did not get the chance to at least snatch a couple of minutes with Robin to at least ask if he had gotten his messages, etc... but I am not sure what happened about their communication during those visits; perhaps there was too much to work through to even try? I agree he seems to be trying to work through a lot of confusion and hurt and I am sorry for him, it must be very hard, to say the least. However, I, for one, don't need to hear Barry's opinion except as expressed as an opinion, not as fact. To me that has been the problem with at least some of Barry's recent comments. I still understand that he is going through something I could not begin to fathom and I feel for him. It is the worst when you can't resolve issues because of death; it is hard to get closure. Robin clearly had trouble coping with the practical aspects of life. And IMO a lot of troubles in his life stemmed from this inability of his. I think it was a double-edged sword. It kept him the artist he was, but it made him very vulnerable in many ways. But whether Barbara and Barry and also Robin were actually kept abreast of the exact nature or state of his illness, I am not really sure. From what Dwina has said in one of her recent interviews, I got the impression that Robin did not know. At least he was never told. And from what Barry has said, it seems he did not know, either. I understand he had his mobile phone, but that too was very often not administered by him. Robin once told me that they had a very strange system where he was given different numbers at different times and in those cases he didn't know his own number. Over the years I've heard many people complain about this difficulty of reaching Robin, especially in the last months because at that time very understandably Robin was not in control of anything. So I think it quite possible that even Barry had a communication problem. Best, Kate Yasmine Ghulamali wrote: > Okay, I have to ask, why would Barry not have a number to reach Robin > directly?
