I had power, no flooding and was inconvenienced by road closures due to downed trees. I feel truly blessed. The eye of the storm came right over us and thus we were spared the brunt o= f the rain, high winds and storm surge which wreaked havoc on coastlines from NC on up to Maine; inland from West Virginia, Ohio and into Michigan (and Canada)... The worst hit was Jersey =AD their coast line is altered forever. My heart and prayers goes out to all those affected. I was = thankful the huge evergreen in my yard didnt fall on my house. However a = tree fell on a neighbors car about 2 houses down from me. The wind was = like nothing I have ever experienced before. To say I was scared Sh--Less = would be an understatement. It was kind of like you were a sitting duck in = your homes not knowing what was gonna happen next.=20 Yes the Jersey shoreline was hit the hardest and it saddens me so as that = is where i would Love to go on vacations. Pople in NJ are feeling this as = a loss of their childhoods and adult hoods also. We are grieving for the = shore. I know that statement may cause some controversy on here as = grieving in various ways have been discussed onhere and how people grieve = but in my opinion you can grieve for anything that meant something to you = and you Love and the shore was one of those things.=20 Right now a huge problem is trying to get gas. The gas lines go for = miles and you wait from 1-4 hours to get gas and that is only if youare = lucky enough to find any gas stations open which are a rare few.. there = are none open in my town. So many people are just staying home because = they dont want to use the only gas theynow have. I have also heard that = there are fights breakingout at gas stations and police have been called = in to try to calm people down... =20 A lot of people are without heat and food... the stores are getting sold = out of just the basics and all. It is a very trying time right now and so = many are without power and patience is wearing thin on some.. hopefully = each day will bring more progress. =20 one more thing about the gas stations .. even if we can find a gas = station that has gas there is no ppwer to use the pumps=21 Thank you Sal and other members who have given your comments of support = and caring..it means a lot right now.=20 > -----Original Message----- > From: compoccias=40aol.com > Sent: Wed, 31 Oct 2012 22:26:52 -0400 (EDT) > To: words=40brothersgibb.com > Subject: =5Bwords=5D Hudson's Fallen Wind >=20 >=20 > Terry were you hit bad where you are in New Jersey?
