None have ever mentioned any friendship with Maurice. Sometimes a lack of evidence is evidence. We may not all draw the same conclusion. But you STILL haven't told me what BMI listing IS or what website it's on! I tried to find a website for BMI, but all I got was a removal company, so I don't think that's the right one! It's one of the sources for my Gibb Songs lists. Unfortunately the listings are not dated, but they provide data to follow up. Firstly, there are a couple of songs mis-credited. Secondly, the recent development of including samples of old songs in new songs results in a Gibb credit for the new song. Usually you see them together with other writers, who are the writers of the new song and writers of other sampled songs. Thirdly, compare the Work numbers, for alternate titles of more familiar songs. I tried to include these in Gibb Songs. Fourthly, there are a few I cannot figure out! DEEP IN THE DARK OF DAY ILLUSIONS These two are in Gibb Songs. The index is not working right. I don't know about the others. Can his record label spell i-n-t-e-r-n-e-t?!? | According to the official website, Robin's Magnet won't be released in the US until Autumn 2003. ~8^) Pat Wong (ICQ #61070813) http://www.napathon.com/ ------------------------------------------------------------------- "In the interests of cutting costs, the light at the end of the tunnel has been switched off..." ------------------------------------------------------------------- http://www.brothersgibb.com Bee Gees News and Information ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 15 Dec 2002 20:49:38 +0100 From: Ronnie Olsson Subject: Re: BMI Listings 02-12-15 19.32, skrev Maggie Bleksley p=E5 maggie-bleksley@supanet.com f=F6ljande: > Don't blame you, Ronnie. Didn't I put the link to BMI in the mail, yes I did Guess you missed it this time, Maggie ;) General rule when you know the name of a company but you don't know its URL try put .com after it, in most cases this works fine. BMI handles copyright issues, they collect and distribute royalties for copyrighted work to the owners of the songs. There is another US company doing the same called ASCAP. You usually see on= e or the other of these on all CDs issued in the US, either at the last page on the booklet or on the CD. In UK the company is MCPS In Sweden the company handling this is called STIM but you rarely see this on Swedish records as it goes under a Scandinavian/Baltic joint venture called NCB - Nordisk Copyright Bureau. This makes it difficult to pinpoint country of manufacturer as it often doesn't say where it was made. It could might as well be made in Norway, Denmark, Sweden or even Iceland or Finland for that matter. But I digress...=20 If you want to find out more about copyright I suggest you either search online or go to the library.
