I'll take the groan and raise it with a grunt ;) I don't get the concept of having a televised show where you have semi-talented kids become puppets for the producers and record company Moguls. We have (or rather had) two similar shows running simultaneously on different channels and they both sucked - at least the little I saw of them= . Then one of them decided to release a mini-album consisting of Bee Gees covers, aaaarrrggghhh. OK, half of it didn't sound too bad, the other half is a different story... >> D. OK...YOU WIN AGAIN....its been a derogative term here in the UK since ******* took over our charts way back in 1996!!! I point blank refuse to name them. There are fans here present!!! They were followed by ********. In between we got Steps and Hearsay and goodness knows who else......and now we have One True Voice and Girls Aloud (almost with skirts). Off course...OTV are NOT a boy band....they`re a "vocal harmony group", since the term is now so hated. Nice to know Sweden feels like the UK...it gets kinda lonely when you think your alone!!! <> Okay, like I said, lifes hectic here, I`m just having a mini-calm somewhere mid-panic. So if I get involved in controversy again...I might not be able to keep up with it all. BUT.....I have a very good recollection of saying (about 18 month ago) that I was anxious about the quantity of Bee Gee songs being used by these manufactured bands. We, in Europe, didn`t experience the disco-backlash.......but I could see a boy-band backlash coming. I was told by my fellow members that any publicity is better than none. If I`m still wrong....so be it. I`d like to be wrong. . <<> Lets face it....I`m only ever > going to admit my disappointment here....where its safe.
