Personally, I don't think it ever really sounded good live, even when Barry was in his prime and using it as his main voice. I think the Bee Gees or the Barry Gibb falsetto sound was larg I've said this before, but I have always felt the falsettos, or to be more precise the overuse of the falsetto, did as much to stigmatize them as disco and SNF.
