According to Paul McCartney they would only record out-of-tune versions of 'God Save The Queen' if Epstein sold them to Stigwood. Would there still be a Beatles? I think so, even if Stigwood had become their manager by default they'd probably would have told him to bugger off and gone it on their own. Brian Epstein's interest in management was diminishing and by this time, at least according to the Beatles, they were practically managing themselves. The follow-up question: "Would there still have been a Bee Gees?" falls flat after that but assuming Stigwood had taken over NEMS and The Beatles as well (despite their aversion to it, probably followed by The Beatles attempt to get released from the management contract) I think Stigwood would have spent less time and money honing the talents of the Gibb brothers. It would probably only have been a temporary thing and once The Beatles, eventually, had given him the boot he would have concentrated on the Bee Gees again. /Ronnie *********************************************************** How far is too far? I would be most surprised if at least one of the duets isn't released as a single. I also suspect that Letting Go will only make it as a b-side. There have been occasions in the past where a teaser has done just that (e.g. Decedance and Just In Case). BTW - Has anyone noticed that the Barry website music has moved from Bee Gees stuff to tracks from Now Voyager and Hawks? As for the home videos. Funnyish, but in a stupid way. Is Barry expecting that people will pay to download these? (I might go for Technicolour Dreams, but that's just about it!).
