Subject: Re: NEW COMPILATION
Actually, it's the most practical release I've seen in a while -- it's
targeted to those who a) think of the Bee Gees as disco disco disco, and
think everything prior to 1975 was crap, and b) want the "warm authentic
sound" of vinyl.
There are such people, and they want to put the needle on the outer edge of
the lp, and play it straight through without having to "endure" songs like
"Massachusetts."
Likewise, there are Beatles fans who love Sgt Pepper, Abbey Road, and the
White Album, and don't want "Please Please Me" cluttering up their playlist.
I don't agree with such people, but they do exist. And they do have
disposable income...
.
David Garcia, who is running out of things to compile into new
compilations, may have to use assembly language from now on in NYC
.
