But I think I may have a different opinion of a "personal and intimate" experience?? It sure as hell wouldn't be found on a street corner! (Not that the Bette, celebrating Independence Day in her own uniquely, intimate and expressive way 😝 in Philly, PA, USA > http://m.smh.com.au/entertainment/music/bee-gees-barry-gibb-to-return-to-redcliffe-for-another-walk-down-memory-lane-20150401-1mct2j.html Redcliffe will welcome home Barry Gibb in September to open the next stage of Bee Gees Way. The public walkway honours the legendary band, which began life when brothers Barry, Maurice and Robin started singing together while living on the peninsular in the late 1950s. Moreton Bay Mayor Allan Sutherland said Gibb would unveil the expanded tribute on September 11, during the Redcliffe Festival. Thousands were expected to flock to the opening, repeating scenes from two years ago. "Since opening in February 2013, tourists and music fans from around the world have flocked to Bee Gees Way to enjoy its stories, photographs and life-size statue of the brothers," he said. "The next stage...will take the attraction to a new level and incorporate some of the many suggestions we have received from locals and visitors over the past two years." Cr Sutherland said Gibb had been heavily involved in developing the new concepts and content for stage two of the walkway, which stretches between Redcliffe Parade and Sutton Street. "People tell me one of the things they like about Bee Gees Way is it feels personal and intimate – like they are in a conversation with Barry," he said. "Barry's hands-on involvement in Stage 2 builds on this unique characteristic." Florida-based Gibb said memories of Redcliffe, where his family moved to from England in the mid-50s, had never left him. "Moreton Bay Regional Council has allowed me to share even more memories of my time in Redcliffe, stories from different eras of our lives and career, and honour my brothers Robin, Maurice and Andy," he said. "It's been an honour to be personally involved in this project... I can't wait to share the day with the community, fans and friends." Back to top

Blue Weaver has talked about his years spent with the Gibbs publicly (among the most recent being the BBC documentary last year). But you don't see Alan Kendall be interviewed in any of the Bee Gee-related documentaries that have put together over the yea All this said, it could have nothing to do with contracts -- it could simply be a matter of no one's ever asked Alan, or Alan has been asked and he's declined. I also don't claim to have read/seen everything that's out there. I carry on intimate and personal conversations with absent people on street corners all the time! . David Garcia, who finds he can always get a seat all to himself on public transportation in NYC . There is a convention on sport which could also be implied which is 'what's happens in the dressing room stays in the dressing room' Barry would be right to expect specifics not to be mentioned but Dennis should be able to pass an opinion. As much as it would be interesting to hear about the Living Eyes issues I think Barry would feel very let down. I remember Maurice saying that Richard Perry didn't know how to treat YSBD as if the guy was incompetent. He should have not mentioned Richard's name really Julian= Back to top
