I think the loss of Maurice coupled with losing Andy has been too much for him. At least when they lost Andy, he still had Maurice there in Miami. I don't think he and Robin have ever had a really close relationship. Too much competition and jealousy. Maurice was the glue that held the Bee Gees together. Robin is off doing his own thing and from some of the videos I have watched on You Tube, I wasn't impressed with him at all. Even the times Robin and Barry did sing together after Maurice was gone, it wasn't the same. I think Barry's focus is on his family now. Even the chats were boring and he seemed like he just wanted to get it over with. As disappointing as it is for all of us, I think we are going to be have to satisfied with watching the "old times" on You Tube and the DVD's. I keep hoping someone will release the Spirits Tour on DVD. I only wish Barry, Linda and their family peace, health and happiness. **************Wondering what's for Dinner Tonight? Also, whatever the extent of the competition and possible jealousy between them, they certaintly had a close creative relationship. Sal **************Wondering what's for Dinner Tonight? I think its a great cover, and of course it says alot about the song itself. Sal **************Wondering what's for Dinner Tonight? Get new twists on family favorites at AOL Food. Were they as good as the songs for the original "Guilty" album. I'd say no. How much Robin's absent affected the overall quality is a legitimate question I suppose. Nothing unusual in that. But, we are talking about an exceptionally talented songwriter in Barry. So, maybe we are right to still except some more great songs from him. B.R.&M were a legitimate songwriting team. The songwriting team of Barry and his sons is still a little suspect IMO. With his brothers the songwriting partnership was obviously natural, or organic as they would probably phrase it. Barry teaming with his sons may be a little forced. Could that affect the quality of the songs? Sal **************Wondering what's for Dinner Tonight? Get new twists on family favorites at AOL Food.
