They were already perfect in the earliest English photos in 1967. You'll have to carry your research into Australian photos. They seem too good to be true but I don't know the inside scoop. Considering the family were struggling for money during most of the boys' lives up to 1967, it would have been a big decision to spend a lot of money on teeth straightening. Nonetheless Hugh may have considered Barry's good looks an essential part of success as a pop star, which I can't argue with, and so found some way to get the teeth done. Robin's teeth are extremely crooked in a small photo they used on the back of Bee Gees First (I think it's on the CD too). They got much better within a year or two. -- Joe Brennan ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 12 Jun 2002 10:36:04 -0300 From: susan wortman Subject: Re: OK, people oh my to get up this morning to read the dicussion is about barry's teeth. (big smile and hug) Ever since Michael Jackson had his prosthetic nose fly off into the audience during a concert some months back, I have been intrigued by "added" body parts among celebrities. Not a fetish or anything. Just a genuine curiousity. Ergo, the question about Barry's pearly whites. And ladies, SHOULD it be true that B. has had some extra work done to his choppers, fear not. Men with dentures are just as sexy as those without. I mean, those who still have their own teeth. Oh crud, you know what I mean. There are enough looneytunes on the roads without adding me! In truth, I was born in New York City and never had a need to drive until I lived in Homestead (near Miami), Florida. Was a nerve racking experience. Half the drivers didn't have licenses or insurance. And here I was with a fortune in driving lessons behind me, trying my best not to let anyone bang into the rear of my bright green Pinto. I am a firm believer in public transportation. Yes, indeed.
