I thought the Embrace chorus sounded familiar the first time I heard it! - now I know why. I wonder if these sorts of similarities are coincidence -- with so many songs out there, statistically it's bound to happen -- or (more likely), the writer had the song in the back of his or her mind and "integrated" a portion of it unintentionally. My Sweet Lord / He's So Fine is the obvious landmark example - although in that case, the entire melody / chord progression of the songs are strikingly similar, and there was of course the opportunity to have heard such a big hit, and thus the verdict against Harrison. (Having read the background on the How Deep Is Your Love lawsuit provided in links by members of this list, I think I understand that both of these must be present in order to establish liability.)
